The workshop on Nuclear Structure & Reactions: Experimental and Ab Initio Theoretical Perspectives will be held at TRIUMF, from 18-21 February 2014.

This is the fourth in a series of workshops focused on new developments in ab initio nuclear theory that started in 2011. The scope of the present workshop will be, however, significantly broader than those of the previous three workshops on ab initio techniques. In addition to the traditional focus on the latest developments in ab initio nuclear structure calculations, we also plan to cover the theory of nuclear reactions and include several talks reviewing experimental efforts at TRIUMF. Consequently, the workshop will be longer, four days, and the number of participants higher. We will provide some level of local support.

Some of the topics to be discussed are:
- Progress in first-principles nuclear structure and reaction calculations
- Phenomenological theory of nuclear reactions
- Experimental efforts in low energy nuclear physics and astrophysics at TRIUMF
