The workshop on Progress in Ab Initio Techniques in Nuclear Physics will be held at TRIUMF, 21-23 February 2013.

This is the third in a series of workshops focused on new developments in ab initio nuclear calculations that started in 2011. The scope of the workshop has increased gradually as well as the number of participants. In the past few years, we have seen a significant progress in ab intio calculations that include chiral three-nucleon (3N) interactions. At the same time, there has been a great progress in the derivations and calculations of 3N interactions from the chiral perturbation theory beyond the N2LO level. One of the goals of the 2013 workshop is to bring again together the developers and the users of the chiral 3N forces.

Some of the topics to be discussed are:
- Progress in the first principles nuclear structure and reaction calculations
- Role of 3N forces in observables
- Strategies for the calculation and the use of chiral 3N matrix elements at N3LO and beyond

Due to the space and budget limitations, the participation is by invitation only.
