2nd Workshop on Perspectives of the Ab Initio No-Core Shell Model

The 2nd Workshop on Perspectives of the Ab Initio No-Core Shell Model will be held at TRIUMF, 23-25 February 2012.

This year, the scope of the workshop has been expanded to include participants active in various ab initio methods. In the past year, one of the important developments in ab initio nuclear theory is the completion of the derivation of the full chiral N3LO three-nucleon (3N) interaction. To discuss this topic, Hermann Krebs and Ruprecht Machleidt have been invited to present.

Some of the topics to be discussed are:
- Progress in the first principles nuclear structure and reaction calculations
- Calculations with 3N forces
- Recent benchmark calculations of binding energies of light and medium mass nuclei

Due to the space and budget limitations, the participation is by invitation only.
