Status of the ADMX G2 Dark Matter Experiment
The Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX) is a cavity haloscope search
for dark matter axions. The Gen 2 version ADMX has the goal of being
sensitive to even the pessimistically coupled axions in the well
motivated 1-10 GHz frequency region. This will be a significant
improvement over previous cavity searches, and have a good chance of
discovering the axion, or ruling out an interesting parameter space.
I will discuss the ADMX Gen 2 program highlighting recent
commissioning, near term-data taking, long term search strategies, and
challenges and technologies involved with reaching higher frequencies.
